
It’s 2021, another 4th of July is here. As a new immigrant to this beautiful country I look forward to the celebrations. 4th of July is essentially the day America the land of the free & the home of the brave was born.

Many things have changed in the last year ever since the Chinese Virus hit the US and the rest of the world but America & Americans are still as strong as ever in their love for one another and their unique land.
Today I am going to talk about 5 things that I as an immigrant cherish about the 4th of July.

Freedom
People who have never been outside the US have no idea what privilege the term Freedom is?
In Middle Eastern countries freedom is what they ‘allow’ you. In countries like India, a democratic country, freedom is a ‘relative’ term whereas countries like North Korea & China allow ‘cosmetic’ freedom.
That’s the reason so many Americans objected to the “mask mandate” or ‘vaccination’. The world is looking to America to take the lead on getting China to pay the damages too.
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it on to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.

Freedom of religion
Only in the US of America can all religions truly have the liberty to practice any or not religion.
In countries like Saudi Arabia Christians aren’t even allowed to drive near their Holy land Mecca but Muslims are allowed to build mosques here.
While in India Churches are often targeted & Catholic Nuns raped by Hindu fundamentalist.
But in the US all religions are allowed to be practiced. Thats true freedom of religion but what people tend to forget is the US was/is a beacon to Christians. It’s forefathers never thought people of other religions would like to come to the new lands.

Pride in the Flag

Nothing is more aggravating than seeing people, whether individuals famous or ordinary, disrespecting the flag.
The Flag is an embodiment of the sacrifices made and are made everyday by the patriots in the US armed forces who protect the nation so that you and I can make millions of dollars.
For this reason alone I hold President Trump very high because he wasn’t afraid of the media for insisting everyone respect the FLag.
We will always remember. We will always be proud. We will always be prepared, so we will always be free.

Charity
Another thing that is unique to America & it being the Land of the Free is the kindness and the charitable nature of Americans.
Americans are charitable to the point of being gullible where scammers call & tell a sob story and get hundreds of $$$. Why? Because Americans want to help people in their communities, towns & cities and believe me around the world.
Pursuit of Happiness
When I read those words tears came to my eyes. Only in the US citizens irrespective of their caste, color or creed can pursue happiness any way they want it. So, if a muslim foul mouthe woman like Omar wants to run for Congress she can.
Or if Marjorie Greene says she is the best she can. Why because both are pursuing what America believes is their goal in life that will get them happiness.
If a woman wants to work she is encouraged but if she wants to stay at home she is called a ‘homemaker’ not a ‘housewife’.
When you open your heart to patriotism, there is no room for prejudice!

Conclusion
To conclude, 4th of July is not only the birthday of America but the day the Land of the Free came into being.
Handful of brave Americans broke free from the shackles of the mighty British Empire which also encouraged countries like India to do the same. I am very proud to be part of this wonderful nation and call myself American.
